<![CDATA[The Special Cell has arrested a 26-year-old member of the inter-State Shaukat Pasha gang wanted in connection with the robbery of 6.9 kg silver from a jeweler in Old Delhi, the police said on Sunday. There was a bounty of Rs.25,000 on his head. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Mr. Sanjeev Yadav told that Jahid is a member of the Shaukat Pasha gang, which is involved in several armed robberies in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Jahid, who is a sharpshooter, was part of the armed robbery in Old Delhi. Special Cell officers received a tip-off that Jahid would visit east Delhi’s Karkardooma on Saturday and arrested him. “He is a school dropout who fell in bad company. He gradually came in contact with Shaukat,” Mr. Yadav told. In 2016, Jahid, Sanu and Sufiyan, robbed 6.9 kg of silver from Hari Om . The trio had fired three rounds at Mr. Om, who escaped unscathed. Sufiyan was arrested while the others managed to flee. In February 2015, Jahid and two others robbed a cloth merchant at gunpoint in Anand Vihar. A few days later, they robbed Rs.8 lakh at gunpoint from the manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Sambhal, U.P. Jahid was arrested but granted bail in some earlier cases.]]>
