<![CDATA[New Delhi: The Delhi police said that they have arrested two persons for supplying heroin in Delhi-NCR, the northern States and other countries on Monday. The investigators have also seized 8kg heroin worth a few crores in the international market. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Mr. P.S. Kushwah said that the accused have been identified as Oscar aged 38, who is a foreign national and a resident of Burari, and Surjeet Singh aged 27, a resident of Punjab’s Patiala. As pre the information received by the police the members of a cartel, which supplies heroin smuggled from Afghanistan and Pakistan, would meet in Delhi for a consignment. The police laid a trap near Saket metro station and the two accused were arrested. As the police were interrogating Oscar he said that his accomplices used to receive heroin from his counterparts in Afghanistan and Pakistan through Jammu & Kashmir, and he sold the drugs to dealers in Delhi and north India. Mr. Kushwah said that Oscar also used to send consignments to other countries, including Canada, England, France and South Africa. Oscar had been allegedly supplying drugs to Surjeet for the last six months. Surjeet has been supplying drugs for more than five years, the police said. ]]>
