Banaskantha, Gujarat: In a major anti-narcotics operation, Banaskantha district Police achieved significant success by intercepting an illegal drug consignment and arresting three accused involved in narcotics trafficking.
Acting on credible information, Palanpur Taluka Police stopped a CNG auto-rickshaw at Khemana Toll Plaza in the Palanpur Taluka Police Station limits. During a thorough search, officers recovered 4.6 kilograms of ganja (cannabis) along with the vehicle used for transportation. The total value of the seized narcotics and property was estimated at ₹4,42,500.
All three accused were taken into custody, and legal proceedings were initiated under the provisions of the NDPS Act. The successful operation prevented the illegal narcotics from reaching the market and dealt a blow to drug trafficking networks operating in the region.
