MUMBAI: Police rushed for the rescue of a colleague constable from the hands of three drunkard goons. The cop held two culprits for abusively abducting police constable while one member managed to flee immediately from the spot. According to police, the incident took place around 10.15am when some travelers approached traffic police constable Vikas Munde near Chheda Nagar junction on the Eastern Express Highway. He was indicated that Honda City car was parked on the second lane of the highway and the three occupants appeared to be unconscious. The constable instantly had gone to the spot and saw the vehicle in the middle of the road. When he knocked at the door and asked the trio to step out of the vehicle, they refused to do so. Then the constable got inside the car and told them to park the car on the side of the road. While he was inside the car they started to drive the car instead of parking the car beside the road. He shouted for help and alerted his colleagues through the radio. And finally he was rescued from abduction and two culprits were too arrested near Ghatkopar. The police found liquor bottles in the vehicle and the four-wheeler was reeking of alcohol. Police said that the accused had been arrested for kidnapping (section 363), obstructing public servant from committing his duty, (section 353), danger or obstruction in public way (Section 283) of the IPC and sections of the Motor Vehicles Act that is related to drunk driving.
