Secunderabad, Telangana: In preparation for the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Bonala Jatara – 2026, Secunderabad Police convened a high-level convergence meeting to ensure that one of the city’s most significant religious festivals is conducted in a safe, peaceful, and well-organized manner.
The meeting, held at Vishwakarma Function Hall under the jurisdiction of Mahankali Police Station, was chaired by DCP Rakshita Krishnamurthy. Senior police officers, including the Additional DCP, ACP, and the Inspector of Mahankali Police Station, participated alongside officials from various government departments.
Representatives of the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple Committee, organisers of Palaharam Bandi, Thotela processions, welcome stage committees, and other festival committees also attended the meeting, reflecting a strong spirit of community participation.
The discussions focused on comprehensive security arrangements, traffic management, crowd control, emergency preparedness, sanitation, and other essential civic services to ensure that devotees can participate in the festivities safely and comfortably. The DCP emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among all departments and directed the concerned authorities to complete the required arrangements well in advance.
The convergence meeting demonstrates the proactive and community-oriented approach of Secunderabad Police in planning large public events. By working closely with government agencies and festival organisers, the police aim to provide a secure, orderly, and memorable Bonalu celebration while ensuring the safety and convenience of thousands of devotees.
