<![CDATA[ Thiruvananthapuram: A dentist, who rammed her car—allegedly in an inebriated condition—into six vehicles, was on Wednesday arrested and released on bail, police said a day after the incident. Identifying the woman as Dr Reshmi Pillai, 42, Kollam city traffic police said three youths, arrested along with her, were also granted bail. The woman's car rammed into the vehicles and injured three persons around 7pm at Madannada in Kollam. She later entered into an altercation with police officers and local residents, and tried to attack journalists. Police slapped Section 279 of IPC (rash driving) and 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act (drunken driving) on the dentist. The other accused—arrested for assaulting reporters—have been identified as Prabhu, 36, of Pattathanam; Sulaiman, 27, of Pallimukku and Dilu Suresh, 24, of Kottayam. Police said Dr Reshmi was an accused in a case, pertaining to blocking an ambulance, registered six months ago.]]>
