Allahabad: On Monday, police came into the rescue of two lovers who were allegedly kidnapped by the family members and arrested six members of the family. It is said that the duo lover was from the same community who had eloped from the Amroha district and stationed at near Allahabad High Court Building in Prayagraj district. The duo was on their way to seeking advice from a lawyer regarding their marriage. In the meantime, they were kidnapped. According to the Station House Officer of Cantonment Police Station in Prayagraj, received information that a couple had been allegedly abducted by some unidentified people. Immediately police rushed to the spot and verified the information with the local residents. The local residents claimed that the duo lover had been forcibly taken. Accordingly, police checked the footage from CCTV near the court premises and had collected the detail information of the vehicle. The information of the vehicle was shared with the neighboring police stations for launching a check. It was after two hours police managed to apprehend the persons from Khaga, the neighboring area of Fatehpur district. The six relatives of the girl arrested for the case. An FIR has been lodged against those six persons for allegedly abducting the duo, among them including mother, father, maternal uncle and three relatives of the girl’s family. Meanwhile, the girl’s family members too had lodged an FIR against the youth, his younger brother and father for forcibly abducting her at Naugawan Sadat police satiation said Prayagraj police. An FIR has been lodged against the boy under the IPC section-363, 366 and 506. Police confirmed that they would first wait for the medical report of the girl and record of her statement would be presented before the magistrate.
