Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: A four-day special refresher training programme on investigation procedures for police personnel began on May 25, 2026, at the office of the District Superintendent of Police in Tirunelveli district.
The programme has been organized to enhance the investigative capabilities of police personnel and focuses on newly enacted legal provisions and modern investigative practices. Training sessions will cover investigation methods related to suspicious deaths, prohibition offences, minor and grievous injury cases, and road accident investigations.
According to officials, the sessions are being conducted by Police Inspectors serving within the district. A total of 54 Head Constables have been selected to participate in the refresher course.
The training aims to improve the quality of investigations, strengthen evidence collection procedures, and enhance the successful prosecution and conviction of offenders in courts.
