Rachakonda: On a recent occasion, the 10th class examination centers situated in LB Nagar were thoroughly inspected by the capable and vigilant IPS officer, DS Chauhan, who is the Rachakonda CP. Given the importance of the examinations and the students’ futures, the CP implemented strict security measures to ensure that no untoward incidents occurred during the exams. One such measure was the prohibition of mobile phones inside the examination centers. To enforce this rule, the officials on duty at the gate were instructed to conduct thorough checks on everyone entering the centers.
During the inspection, the commissioner came across a woman constable named Kalpana, who was dutifully performing her job of preventing mobile phones from entering the center. The commissioner congratulated her on her efforts and praised her for upholding the rules. As part of the security checks, the commissioner handed over his own mobile phone to Kalpana, who was stationed at the gate. Kalpana, in turn, did not allow the commissioner’s phone inside the center and asked him to hand it over to her at the gate.
Kalpana’s diligence and devotion to duty did not go unnoticed, and the commissioner rewarded her with a cash prize of 500 rupees. The commissioner also took the time to inspect other aspects of the examination centers to ensure that all necessary arrangements were in place for the smooth conduct of the exams. LB Nagar DCP Sai Sri and ACP Sridhar Reddy, along with other officials, accompanied the commissioner during the inspection.
