North Goa: As part of Project TRUST, officials from the Traffic Cell Mapusa in North Goa District conducted an extensive road safety awareness lecture at St. Mary’s High School in Mapusa. The session was attended by 460 students and 8 teachers. The officials emphasized the importance of road safety measures, providing detailed guidelines and practical tips to enhance the safety of both pedestrians and drivers.
In addition to the lecture, the officials introduced the attendees to a proposed one-way traffic system around the school. This initiative aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the vicinity, ensuring smoother and safer transit for students, staff, and the general public. The proposed plan includes specific routes and traffic management strategies designed to streamline vehicular movement and reduce the risk of accidents near the school premises.
The session was well-received, with active participation from both students and teachers, reflecting a collective commitment to improving road safety and supporting the new traffic system.
