BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Police are yet to examine a video clipping in which RSS leader Kundan Chandrawat offered One Crore bounty on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s head. Pressure has been mounting on the state government to act over the controversial statement. Mr. M.S. Verma, Ujjain Superintendent of Police said, “We are collecting the video. Once we look into it we will decide on the further course of action”, he said. Mr. Verma said no one has lodged any complaint against Chandrawat. The clip has been widely circulated on social media. When asked if Police can take suo motto action on the video clipping, Verma said Police will decide after going through the contents of the video. Chandrawat has since then expressed “regret” over the statement and added that he had achieved what he had wanted to achieve, highlight attacks on RSS activists in Kerala, allegedly by ruling CPM cadres. It is a perfect case for initiating criminal proceedings against the RSS office-bearer under the National Security Act said Senior Supreme Court lawyer and the Congress’ Rajya Sabha member Mr. Vivek Tankha.
