Dharmapuri: A consultation meeting was held at Dharmapuri District Police Office with the participation of licensed explosives dealers and warehouse owners in Dharmapuri district under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police Mr. Stephen Jesupadam. In the event explosives dealers and warehouse owners should not act in violation of government regulations and maintain proper records of purchase, distribution and sale. Ensure security of warehouses where explosives are kept by installing security equipment and adequate surveillance cameras. Explosives should not be sold to unlicensed persons. Explosives should not be allowed to be loaded in vehicles carrying other goods without proper license. Daily purchase, sale and export details of explosives along with stock details should be reported to the concerned police station, local Police Office and District Police Office by email. Apart from this, legal action will be taken against the sellers of explosives who are involved in violations of the rules and advised on the measures to be taken to ensure safety. District Police Deputy Superintendent Mr. Ilangovan and Special Division Police Inspector Mr. Anpahagan participated in the event.
