Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, November 22: District Superintendent of Police Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy directed all police officers to focus on pending cases and ensure speedy and effective investigation. The SP conducted a comprehensive crime review meeting with DSPs, CIs and SIs at the District Police Office on Saturday.
During the meeting, the SP reviewed progress on several key areas, including investigation of pending cases, arrest of accused persons, filing of charge sheets, execution of non-bailable warrants, implementation of new laws, property offences, cybercrime response, and preparations for the upcoming Lok Adalat.
Speaking on the occasion, the District SP issued the following instructions:
* Speed up investigations in grave offences and ensure timely filing of charge sheets.
* Strengthen evidence collection, including witness statements and forensic reports.
* Clear pending non-bailable warrants with focused efforts.
* Complete investigation of POCSO cases within 60 days, with timely coordination from doctors and forensic experts.
* Resolve maximum cases in the Lok Adalat scheduled for December 13.
* Enhance surveillance on habitual offenders, recently released criminals, and inter-state gangs involved in property offences.
* Increase special patrols and identify crime-prone areas for targeted policing.
* Intensify village visits in view of upcoming local body elections and maintain watch on sensitive villages.
* Take strict action against public nuisance, drunk driving, and open drinking.
* Ensure speedy redressal for victims of cybercrime, including recovery procedures as per law.
* Maintain constant vigilance at border check-posts and thoroughly inspect all vehicles.
* Implement stringent steps to curb the smuggling of illicit liquor, country-made alcohol, and ganja.
