Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh: Kadapa District SP Sri Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath, IPS has urged motorists to strictly follow traffic rules, emphasizing that wearing helmets for two-wheeler riders is mandatory and legal action will be taken against violators.
During special vehicle inspections conducted across the district, police registered 81 cases against traffic rule violators and imposed fines amounting to ₹16,409.
The SP advised two-wheeler riders to always wear helmets and instructed car passengers to use seat belts for their safety. He also warned against dangerous practices such as wrong-route driving and stated that strict action would be taken against offenders.
The enforcement drive reflects the district police’s commitment to road safety and accident prevention.
