West Sikkim: On 10.04.2020, Mr. A Sudhakar Rao, IPS, Special Director General of Police (SDGP) toured West District and took stock of the situation on the field. The SDGP visited all the deployment points along the West Sikkim – Darjeeling border and interacted with police personnel on the field. The Personnel was also briefed on their role and responsibilities in order to make the nationwide lockdown successful which is the only alternative to prevent and control the spread of COVID 19.
The SDGP interacted with the police personnel on the field and appreciated them for their dedication.
Further, the Police personnel was also briefed to adhere to safety protocols issued by the competent authority.
The SDGP was accompanied by SP West Mr. Tenzing Loden Lepcha IPS, SDPO Soreng Mr. Roshan Gurung, DySP Mr. Santosh Bania IPS, SHOs of Nayabazar, Mr. Soreng, and Mr. Sombaria.
