Chikkamagaluru: In Birur Nagar, Chikkamagaluru District, the Government First Class College and K.L.K. CPI Birur Circle, along with their team, arrested three individuals involved in a series of thefts at a PU College and High School. The suspects were charged with breaking locks and stealing 63 batteries, 3 inverters, 4 CCTV DVRs, a copier, water filter, and camera equipment. The Chikkamagaluru District police recovered stolen property worth Rs.30.69 lakhs, which included an Ashok Leyland Dost XL vehicle, 147 batteries, 4 UPS units, an inverter, a TV, as well as the tools used in the crime—bolt cutters and iron rods. The investigation was led by CPI Srikanth S.N., PSI Sajith Kumar G.R., PSI D.V. Tippesh, and supported by staff members Hemanth Kumar, Krishnamurthy, Rajappa, Shivakumar, and Durugappa, resulting in the arrest of the inter-district culprits.
