Chennai: In Chennai, for the first time at the Tondiarpet police station the city police have opened a modern resting room for police personnel with a host of amenities. The room was inaugurated by Additional Commissioner North, Mr. R. Dhinakaran.
The new facility, unlike in the past, is provided with a bunk bed, air-conditioner facility, dining table and a hygienic toilet for the police personnel here, said Ms. G. Subbu Lakshmi, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Washermanpet. She said that we have provided all comforts to our personnel who do their duty without any break. Similar rooms will be set up in other police stations as well, said the officers.
