Bengaluru: The Bengaluru traffic police have made comprehensive arrangements to manage traffic around Chinnaswamy Stadium. The crucial IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings is set for Saturday at Chinnaswamy Stadium, with large crowds anticipated. Ticket demand is high as the match could determine a playoff spot for one of the teams. The police have issued a traffic advisory, encouraging commuter to use public transport to reach the stadium.
Parking will be prohibited on the following roads:
Queens Road, MG Road, MG Road to Cubbon Road, Rajbhavan Road, Central Street Road, Cubbon Road, St Marks Road, Museum Road, Kasturba Road, Ambedkar Veedi Road, Ambedkar Veedi Road, Trinity Junction, Lavelle Road, Vittal Mallya Road, Kings Road, Nrupathunga Road.
Vehicles can be parked on the following roads:
St Joseph Indian School Ground, UB City Parking Lot, BMTC TTMC Shivajinagar 1st Floor
OLD KGID Building, Kings Road.
Additionally, Namma Metro will operate for extended hours today, according to the metro department, to accommodate cricket fans traveling to and from the stadium. The last trains will depart at 11:30 PM from all four metro terminals in Bengaluru. BMRCL also announced that paper tickets will be available for those boarding and deboarding at MG Road and Cubbon Park metro stations, providing access to Chinnaswamy Stadium.
