Tiruvarur: On 23.09.2024, Tiruvarur District Superintendent of Police, Mr. S. Jayakumar, M.Sc. (Agri), conducted a surprise inspection at the liquor prohibition checkposts in Kandankudi and Velangudi, under the Nannilam Sub-Division and Peralam Police Station limits. High-speed vehicles were inspected by the police officers that were passing through the checkposts, verifying their documents. The officers and guards on duty were briefed on the significance of their role at the checkposts and were instructed to thoroughly inspect all vehicles passing through.
