Thrissur Rural: Thrissur Rural District’s Dansaaf Safety Team and Vatanapally Police have arrested a youth from the premises of Thalikulam High School under the Vatanapally police station, seizing MDMA, ganja, and hashish oil. Vishal K.M, son of Manoharan from Kotukara House, Mala, was apprehended by a special police team following a tip-off received by Thrissur Rural District Police Chief Mr. Navneet Sharma IPS. The operation was led by Kodungallur DySP Mr. Santosh Kumar, along with Vatanapally Police Station ISHO Binu, SI Maraya Sreelakshmi, Muhammad Rafi, and Thrissur Rural DANSAF SI Maraya Pradeep C.R., Jayakrishnan P., Shine T.R., and DANSAF members Suraj V. Dev, Liju, Iyani, Soni P.X., Manuel M.V., Nishant, Shinto, SCPO Baiju Malail, and CPO Ali and Jishnu from Vatanapally police station.
The accused was intercepted while attempting to distribute MDMA and cannabis, which were intended for wholesalers targeting students in coastal areas. Vishal K.M., who is also implicated in a major case involving 7 kg of hashish oil and has a history of criminal and drug-related offenses under the Mala police station area, is a significant drug wholesaler in the Ernakulam area of Thrissur. The police are currently investigating his distribution network and customer base.
