Kolkata, West Bengal: A routine online order turned into a distressing experience when a parcel valued at ₹8,896 was allegedly taken away by the delivery driver, followed by misleading information regarding the incident.
Seeking assistance, the victim approached the South Suburban Division Cyber Cell, Kolkata Police. Acting promptly, the cyber team took up the matter, conducted a detailed investigation and maintained continuous follow-up to trace the funds. The team included Mr. Tirthankar Saha and Mr. Sanjay Saha.
Through timely and sustained police action, the entire amount of ₹8,896 was recovered within one week and restored to the victim.
The successful recovery provided significant relief to the victim, who expressed her gratitude for the officers’ prompt response, accessibility, timely communication and continued support throughout the process.
