Hyderabad: In the recent past the Hon’ble Minister for IT Mr. KTR Garu and Hon’ble Minister for Home Mr. Mahmood Ali Garu held a meeting with DGP Telangana State Mr. M. Mahendar Reddy, IPS, 3 Commissioners of Police, and other senior officers and instructed them to achieve the target of 10 lakhs cameras installation on at foot basis in order to improve the living standards of Hyderabad citizens. The Government of Telangana has also issued a GO directing various Departments including Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Urban Local Bodies (ULBS), TRANSmission COmpanies (TRANSCO), Marketing Department, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), etc. to install cameras under their charge.
Today under the orders of Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, the Rachakonda Nodal Officer for the project Mr. Sunpreet Singh IPS and Rachakonda IT Cell Inspector Mr. M.Sridhar Reddy organized a special session in order to enlighten the Rachakonda Commissionerate field Police Officers over the latest technologies that are being used in the Hyderabad Citywide Surveillance Project (Smart City Project) in order to ensure public safety and security in a more professional way.
The officers were given a complete knowledge over the project as to how the various technological platforms of Telangana Police have been integrated into one platform and how they can be utilized on time to get results on the field. How the standards of living of citizens can be improved with the help of this project? The executing agency of the project M/S L&T representative Mr. Srinivas Rao and Inspector IT cell Mr. M.Sridhar Reddy explained in detail about the HCS project and Intelligent Transit Management System (ITMS) project.
Additional DCP SOT Mr. Surender Reddy, Addl DCP SHE teams Mrs. Saleema and Additional DCP Traffic Mr. Manohar and all ACSP and Inspectors of Law and Order, Traffic, SOT, Special Branch, SHE teams, CCS and Control Room officers have participated in the session. Also to review and discuss the Implementation of GO MS No.167 of MA and UD Government of Telangana.
