Police News Plus join hands with DSP Ms. Kalpana Dutt IPS Tiruvallur Police in public service

Ponneri: In Ponneri, Tiruvallur district, Police News Plus and Ponneri, Cholavaram, Minjur police Inspectors held an awareness program “Let’s light up – avoid noise” to celebrate accident-free Diwali.

The first copy of the awareness leaflet was received by Ponneri Deputy Superintendent of Police Mrs. Kalpana Dutt IPS and then she launched the awareness program. Then Ponneri Police Inspector Mr. Venkatesh, Cholavaram Police Inspector Mr. Nagalingam, and Minjur Police Inspector Mr. Mathiyarasan distributed awareness leaflets to the public.

Mr. Milton, Tiruvallur District President of News Media Association of India, along with the police, conducted an awareness campaign in the Ponneri area to celebrate accident-free Diwali.

Led by Ponneri Deputy Superintendent of Police Mrs. Kalpana Dutt, IPS in the presence of police Inspectors, the police raised awareness. In this, ‘Ponneri Police Inspector Mr. Venkatesan, Cholavaram Police Inspector Mr. Nakalingam and Minjur Police Inspector Mr. Mathiyarasan spoke in detail about the safe detonation of firecrackers and first aid treatment in case of burns. Chief Constable Ms. Savitri and guards attended and distributed leaflets.
Arrangements for the event were made by the National President of the News Media Association of India, Mr. A. Charles, Editor, Police News Plus, Mr. J. Dinakaran, State Organizing Secretary, Citizens ‘Reporter Division, Mr. R. Muruganantham, Head, Citizens’ Reporter Division, Tiruvallur District, and full-time Tiruvallur District. Mr. J. Milton, Head of the Press Division, was also present.

The following awareness slogans were included under the headline ‘Advice from the Tiruvallur District Police to Celebrate Safe Deepavali’.

  • Fireworks should be set off from 6 am to 7 pm and from 7 pm to 8 pm within the time specified by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Children should explode firecrackers under the supervision of adults.

Explode firecrackers with long blowers.

Do not wear loose clothing when fireworks explode.
Put Burnt firecrackers, wire mesh, rocket propellants in a bucket of water or Bury in a dry sand area.

Explosives that emit too much noise and smoke should not be used, as they will pollute the environment.

Avoid exploding firecrackers in hospitals, places of worship, and places of peace.

Avoid exploding fireworks near cottage areas and flammable areas.

Let’s light the lamps and avoid the sound. The first impact of a firecracker explosion is Noise Pollution. It can affect our ears. It can also affect the behavior of organisms. Fifty percent of those injured by fireworks are children. We must therefore stop exploding fireworks immediately.
Pets, birds, butterflies, and small insects are most affected by the sound of firecrackers. Their blood pressure increases.
Explosives in firecrackers and firecrackers can explode and remain in the soil for up to 80 days. Thus degrading the nature of the soil. Instead of celebrating Deepavali with fireworks, it is better to celebrate Deepavali by lighting lamps. Happy Diwali to all on behalf of Police News Plus.
