Cyberabad, Telangana: Gachibowli Police and SOT Cyberabad teams have achieved a major breakthrough against drug trafficking by arresting three alleged drug peddlers and 16 consumers and seizing 95.41 grams of MDMA and 50 grams of OG Kush worth approximately ₹16.41 lakh.
Acting on reliable information, police first apprehended Koripella Yashwanth Sai Shanmukh (26) near Vattinagulapally on August 11, 2026. During questioning, he allegedly disclosed that he had procured MDMA from Md Razal Abdul Gafoor and Navina KD.
Based on the information developed during the investigation, special teams conducted coordinated operations in Thrissur, Kerala, and Bengaluru, Karnataka. On August 18, police arrested Md Razal Abdul Gafoor in Thrissur and Navina KD in Bengaluru. A search of Navina’s residence resulted in the seizure of 51 grams of MDMA and 50 grams of OG Kush.
The total seized property included:
- 95.41 grams MDMA valued at approximately ₹11.41 lakh
- 50 grams OG Kush valued at ₹5 lakh
- Two mobile phones
- Total drugs seized: approximately ₹16.41 lakh
A case has been registered at Gachibowli Police Station under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway to identify other persons connected with the drug supply network.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of senior officers of Serilingampally Zone and SOT Cyberabad, with the coordinated efforts of Gachibowli Police, SOT teams, and other specialised personnel.
Cyberabad Police have urged citizens to report information regarding drug or ganja suppliers through Dial 100 or the Cyberabad Police WhatsApp service, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept confidential. Educational institutions have also been urged to remain vigilant and immediately inform police about suspected drug-related activities.
The successful interstate operation highlights Cyberabad Police’s strong commitment to combating narcotics trafficking and protecting the community from the growing threat of drugs.
