Karnataka: After the outbreak of COVID-19 in Karnataka the Police and the CAPF personal of the state have been on their toes to save the people of the state from being affected by the deadly contagious pandemic. During this period many police and CAPF personal have been affected by the pandemic as they were exposed for the sake of saving the lives of the people. After being affected by the pandemic 95 front-line warriors of Karnataka State Police have lost their lives to COVID-19. The Director-General of Police Mr. Praveen Sood IPS of Karnataka said we salute the supreme sacrifice of 95 front line Corona Warriors of the Karnataka State Police. The DGP and all ranks of Karnataka State Police offer their condolence to the families of the deceased police officers.
The Indian Police foundation said with deep sadness, we note that 1072 Police and CAPF personnel lost their lives to COVID-19. Since the pandemic struck, our police have been on the frontlines, shielding citizens from the virus and reaching humanitarian assistance, putting their own lives at risk. We salute their sacrifice to the state and the nation.
