Rachakonda : As part of reducing the crime such as snatchings, road accidents etc. Rachakonda Traffic Police has conducted Special Drives from 2.1.2023 to 9.1.2023 against Drunk & Drive, Number Plates, Encroachments under the guidance of Mr. D.S. Chauhan, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda. DCP Traffic Mr. D. Srinivas has taken up the Special Drive successfully in 3 traffic divisions such as LB Nagar, Malkajgiri and Bhongir divisions, and the details are as follows. Rachakonda Traffic Police has conducted Special Drive against without number plate, Improper Number / Irregular Number/Tampered Number/ Erased Number vehicles. The police totally booked 2925 cases and detained vehicles. After verifying the documents, who were corrected their vehicle number plates, their vehicle were released immediately.
NCRO ACHEMENTS: Rachakonda Traffic Police has served 28 Traffic notices to the footpath Encroachers & Business Establishments for uneven parkings in front of their shops and creating Traffic congestion. Rachakonda Traffic Police has conducted 105 Special drives against the encroachments and booked 41 CP Act (Towing Cases) 264, 39 (B) CP Act(Encroachment Cases) 509. Without Helmet Cases Booked – 27,467. 39(B) Cases (Petty Cases) -509. 41 CP Act Cases (Vehicle Lifting) – 264. Cell Phone Driving Cases – 87. Triple Riding Cases – 441.
DRUNK & DRIVE CASES: Rachakonda Traffic Police has booked 644 Drunk & Drive cases and produced 992 Drunk Drive persons including old cases. The concerned Hon’ble Courts awarded with punishments, which include imprisonment, fines and community service. 26 respondents were sentenced to imprisonment from 1 day to 5 days and 20 respondents punished with community service for 1 to 5 days. Motorists as per Motor Vehicles Act rules must be having driving licence, valid documents related to the vehicle and also have the correct number plate as per the Motor Vehicles Act on the vehicle’s front and back side. General public is requested to co-operate with the traffic police during special drive against Number Plates and Drunk & Drive etc. Some motorists are not having proper number plates of their vehicles and obstructing the legitimate duties of various traffic police to avoid the cases. Strict legal action will be taken against them.
