Hyderabad : The most prestigious G-20 working group meetings will be held in the city from 28th of this month to 17th of June. In this context, a G-20 security coordination meeting was held under the chairmanship of DGP Mr. Anjani Kumar in the Office of Security. The meeting was attended by senior police officers of the state, Airport Authority of India, Regional Passport Office, NDRF, SDRF, CISF, NSG and other departments. On this occasion, the DGP said that the summit meeting of the leaders of the most prestigious G-20 countries, which are members of 29 countries that account for 85 percent of the world’s GDP and 75 percent of global trade, will be held in September under the leadership of the Prime Minister. He said that 215 working group meetings are being held in 56 cities of the country ahead of this summit. As part of this, six meetings will be held in Hyderabad. While the first meeting will be held on January 28, working group meetings will be held on March 6, 7, April 26, 27, 28, June 7, 8, 9, June 15, 16 and 17 under the auspices of various ministries, he said. Ministers, secretaries, joint secretary level officials and representatives of voluntary organizations will attend these meetings, he said.
Mr. Anjani Kumar said that the coordination between the security departments is necessary to conduct these meetings smoothly and without any security problems. High-ranking representatives attending these meetings are also likely to visit popular tourist areas in the city and it has been suggested that extensive security measures should be taken in those areas. In this regard, it is suggested to form internal WhatsApp groups for effective coordination and provide information from time to time. Everyone who attends these meetings is asked to carefully check their anticedences. Police commissioners of Hyderabad and Cyberabad have been ordered to make extensive security arrangements mainly at the airport, hotels where the delegates stay and the meeting areas. It is suggested to set up special control rooms in the city along with the airport. Additional DGs Mr. Abhilash Bist, Mr.Sanjay Kumar Jain, Ms. Swathi Lakra, Mr. Vijaya Kumar, Mr. Nagireddy, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Mr. Stephen Ravindra, Hyderabad Additional CP Mr. Vikram Singh Mann, DIG Mr. Tafseer Iqbal, Traffic Additional CP Mr. Sudhir Babu, Home Ministry SIB DD Mr. Sambal Dev, Mr. Rajiv were present in the meeting. Gandhi Airport GSO Mr. Bharat Kandar, Deputy Passport Officer Mr. Indu Bhushan Lenka, NDRF Mr. Damodar Singh, Mr. Singhana Ram of CISF, NSG Colonel Alok Bist, GAD Protocol Officer and other senior officers participated.
