Dibrugarh: The Assam police is on a mission to end drug smuggling in the state and to make Assam a drug free state. Drugs are being seized during operations, are burnt publicly from time to time.
War on drugs is on in full swing and every police personnel is working hard to detect and arrest the drug peddlers based on various inputs received from secret sources and also by operating search operations under the guidance of Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
In a recent operation a team of Dibrugarh Police, Assam has arrested a drug peddler successfully and seized suspected heroin from him.
Dibrugarh Police have urged the people to join them in the mission of ‘war against drugs’ and have provided a contact number to report against drugs if any information is found.
