Rachakonda: Rachakonda Police have uncovered a case of gang rape involving a minor and have apprehended the suspects under Criminal Case No. 1211/2023, Sections 452, 324, 376-DA, 506 of the Indian Penal Code, and Section 5(g) read with Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
Details of the accused are as follows:
Abed-Bin-Khaled, also known as Abid, son of Khalio-Bin-Badar, aged 35, occupation: mechanic, residing at 14-1-211, Seetharam Pet, Mangalhat, Hyderabad City.
Tahseen – currently absconding.
Mankala Mahesh, son of Sreenu, aged 20, occupation: laborer, residing at Block No: 105, Vambay Colony, Nananavanam, Saroomagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
Narsing, also known as Band Chinna, son of Jagan, aged 23, occupation: band worker, residing at Block No: 42, Vambay Colony, Nandanavanam, Saroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
Ashraf, son of Ibrahim, aged 20, occupation: private watchman, residing at F20, Indiramma block, Nandanavanam, Hyderabad.
Md. Faizal, son of Md. Rasheed, aged 21, occupation: flower decoration worker, residing in Rasoolpura, Old Malakpet, Hyderabad.
Md. Imran, son of Haneef, aged 20, occupation: flower decoration worker, residing in Rasoolpura, Old Malakpet, Hyderabad.
On 21st August 2023, a gang rape case was registered based on the victim’s statement. The victim, a girl from Shanthi Nagar, Lalapet, Hyderabad, had been brought to Nandanavanam a week prior by her cousin along with her two brothers for their well-being. On 19th August 2023, a person named Abed made inappropriate advances towards her, which she rejected. On 21st August 2023, around 11:00 AM, the accused Abed, along with his friends Tahseen (alias Tyson) and Mahi, entered the victim’s residence where she was present with her two brothers. Abed forcibly took her to a bedroom by grabbing her hair and covering her mouth, engaging in non-consensual sexual acts. The other accused followed suit, taking turns and threatening her with a knife. Promptly, the police responded, forming special teams to apprehend the accused. On 22nd August 2023, around 4:00 PM, acting on credible information, the primary accused Abed-Bin-Khaled alias Abid was captured at Santhosh Nagar by the special teams while he was heading towards Nandanavanam, and he was brought to the Meerpet Police Station.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime. Additionally, a knife was seized from the possession of the accused on his guidance.
