Tiruvarur: On the 21st of October, 2023, Tiruvarur District Armed Forces Field witnessed the commemoration of Armed Police Day. This day, known as National Justice Memorial Day, pays homage to the dedicated high-ranking policemen who served their country tirelessly, braving all weather conditions and adversities, ensuring law and order.
At the memorial pillar within Tiruvarur District Armed Forces Ground, a solemn ceremony was held to honor the brave martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the police force. Among those present were Mr. Jayakumar Msc, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mr. T. Easwaran, Deputy Superintendents of Police serving in Thiruvarur District, and Sub-Inspector Mr. P. Raja. The Memorial Day was observed with the laying of flower wreaths and the firing of gunshots in accordance with police protocols.
