Noida: The Noida police have taken action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Amanatullah Khan and his son after they were accused of assaulting and threatening staff at a fuel station. The police initiated the case following a complaint from Vinod Kumar Singh, the owner of the Shaheed Ramendra Pratap Singh Filling Station in Noida Sector 95. Singh alleged that the incident began when a man claiming to be Khan’s son jumped the queue at the fuel station, demanding priority service for his car. When asked to wait his turn, the man reportedly attacked the station staff. The complaint further alleges that Khan himself intervened, verbally abusing and threatening the station manager. Purported CCTV footage circulating on social media appears to show the altercation, with a man arguing with station staff before physically assaulting them. Another video purportedly shows Khan engaged in discussion with individuals at the station, with police officers present. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Manish Mishra confirmed the identification of Khan in the video but stated that his son has yet to be identified. Based on Singh’s complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at the Phase 1 police station, charging Khan, his son, and two others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including voluntary causing hurt, intentional insult, criminal intimidation, and mischief causing damage.
