Kerala, Thrissur City: Around 6:00 pm, police officers in the control room vehicle noticed a man walking near Jos Theater, dressed in a clean shirt and carrying a bag, shouting among the traffic. They took him to the East Police Station. Acting on instructions from Inspector Jijo MJ, he was presented before the Magistrate, accompanied by Senior Civil Police Officer Satish Mohan and Civil Police Officer Anish, following a medical examination. Later, he was sent for treatment at a mental health center in West Kota, where a doctor recommended hospital admission.
As the officers were leaving the hospital, the man became emotional, holding their hands. While consoling him, Satish Mohan realized he had seen him before and sent a photograph to the station. His colleague, Sreejith, suggested he might be a well-known travel vlogger, leading Satish Mohan to share the news on social media. Soon, they uncovered information about the man’s extensive trekking experiences in Everest, Annapurna, and other international locations, as well as a contact number belonging to a relative.
The relative was notified and arrived in Thrissur the next day. When the family reached the station, more details about him emerged: he was a kung fu master who had traveled extensively for trekking. Recently, he had gone to the Gulf for work. A family friend had reported seeing him in a distressed state at the Kottakkal bus stand, though the family was initially skeptical. Unsure of his whereabouts, they had reported him missing to the local police station without requesting a formal case, believing he was still in the Gulf.
Meanwhile, the Thrissur East Police Station contacted the family. His mental state had improved after reconnecting with them, and when he appeared before the magistrate, he recounted his recent experiences clearly. He explained that he had gone to the Gulf intending to travel across Europe but lost memory of the events immediately after arriving. He was eventually sent back to Nedumbassery, where he took a bus to Kottakkal, briefly saw a friend, then continued on to Thrissur. He has since regained his memories, though the events during his Gulf trip remain unclear, and his phone was lost during the journey.
Grateful to Officer Satish Mohan, Anish, and others for helping him reunite with his family, he expressed his plans to continue traveling, with his next trek set for Africa. He invited the officers to follow his channel for updates, promising to keep in touch.
