Thrissur City, Kerala: Thrissur West Police arrested a 25-year-old man, Akshay, a native of Mala Paramad,Chathantharaveetil, in connection with the theft of a motorcycle belonging to a Palakkad native.
The incident occurred on August 10, 2026, when the complainant parked his motorcycle at a location in Thrissur. The vehicle was subsequently stolen, following which he lodged a complaint at the Thrissur West Police Station. Police registered a case and launched a detailed investigation.
Using advanced technological methods and effective investigative techniques, the investigation team traced and arrested the accused from Kurkkanchery. The operation was conducted under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner K.R. Rajesh.
During the investigation, police also found that the accused was allegedly involved in eight criminal cases registered at various police stations in Thrissur City, Thrissur Rural and Ernakulam districts.
The investigation team comprised West Police Station Sub-Inspectors Cecil and Adarsh, Senior Civil Police Officer Sunil, and Civil Police Officers Harish, Deepak and Suraj, under the direction of Assistant Commissioner K.R. Rajesh.
