Kerala, Thrissur, April 16, 2025: Thrissur City Police Commissioner Elango RAPS brought pride to Kerala Police by winning four medals at the prestigious All India Police Gazetted Officers Badminton Cluster Competition, held at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kochi, from April 11 to 15.
Commissioner Elango emerged as one of the standout performers of the tournament, securing two silver and two bronze medals across badminton and table tennis events. He clinched silver medals in the Gazetted Officers Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Table Tennis), and bronze medals in the Men’s Singles and Open Doubles categories.
The event, inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Hon. Pinarayi Vijayan on April 11, concluded with a valedictory ceremony graced by Hon. Law and Coir Industry Minister Shri P. Rajeev on April 15.
Commissioner Elango’s stellar performance not only highlighted his sporting talent but also reflected the spirit of fitness, discipline, and excellence upheld by the police force.
