Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, June 2025: In a proactive move to ensure free, fair, and peaceful Gram Panchayat elections, a coordination meeting was convened at Thana Thal under the leadership of Station In-Charge Shri Shankar Singh Rawat, following the directions of Superintendent of Police, Pithoragarh, Mrs. Rekha Yadav.
The meeting brought together all police personnel stationed at Thal Police Station to discuss election-related security measures. Key guidelines were issued to maintain law and order, promote fairness, and prevent any disturbance during the electoral process. Officers were instructed to remain vigilant and ensure that no anti-social elements disrupt the democratic proceedings.
The Pithoragarh District Police also urged citizens to participate responsibly in the elections, avoid rumors or misinformation, and promptly report any suspicious activity to the authorities. This initiative reflects the police department’s commitment to upholding democratic values and ensuring a safe electoral environment for all.
