Chikmagalur, Karnataka: In a commendable display of swift action and efficient investigation, the Narasimharajapur Police have successfully solved a robbery case that occurred in the early hours of July 23, 2025.
While en route from Narasimharajapur to Shivamogga, a pickup vehicle was intercepted near the Aramballi bus stand. The driver and helper were assaulted, and miscreants made away with mobile phones, silver ornaments, and ₹2 lakh in cash.
Acting promptly, a police team led by PSI Niranjan Gowda of Narasimharajapur Police Station launched a thorough investigation. Their dedicated efforts led to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of silver ornaments worth ₹2.55 lakh, a sound system, mobile phones, the car used in the crime, and the weapons — including a long and an iron rod — used in the incident.
