Rachakonda, Telangana: In a major breakthrough, the Abdullapurmet Police and CCS Rachakonda jointly arrested two members of an inter-state house burglary gang along with one juvenile at Kothaguda X Road during early morning vehicle checks on 18 November 2025. The police recovered ₹37,05,000 in stolen cash and a mobile phone from their possession.
The arrested persons are residents of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, forming part of a gang involved in a recent high-value burglary within the Abdullapurmet Police Station limits.
Swift Investigation and Nationwide Search
The case originated after the principal of a local engineering college reported that unidentified persons had broken into the administrative office on the night of 9 October 2025 and stolen ₹1.07 crore, the student fee collection kept in a steel almirah.
Under the guidance of Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, multiple teams from Law & Order, CCS, IT Cell, and SOT launched a coordinated investigation. Officers travelled across Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka, gathering technical clues and following leads to identify the offenders.
Their sustained efforts led to the apprehension of three gang members and the recovery of a substantial portion of the stolen cash.
Gang’s Modus Operandi
According to police, the gang targeted educational institutions located in isolated areas near national highways. They used Google Maps to identify vulnerable locations, moved in groups, and used long screwdrivers to break open locks. After committing the offence, they quickly dispersed using autos, buses or private vehicles to evade detection.
