Ranga Reddy, Telangana: In a significant breakthrough, the Bandlaguda Police Station successfully busted a fraudulent property mortgage racket, protecting citizens from large-scale financial deception.
The case came to light following a complaint, which revealed that the accused were posing as property owners and executing fake mortgage agreements to cheat multiple victims. Acting swiftly, police identified five individuals involved in the organized scam.
The prime accused, Shaik Omer Amoodi (24), a real estate broker, was arrested and has reportedly confessed to the offence. Another accused, Mohammed Bin Osman Masqati (26), along with three others—Mohammed Basith, Ali Jabri, and Shakeer Hussain—are currently absconding.
The Bandlaguda Police have launched intensive efforts to trace and apprehend the remaining accused, while continuing a detailed investigation into the extent of the fraud.
This operation highlights the police department’s swift action and commitment to curbing financial crimes and safeguarding the interests of the public.
