Ranga Reddy, Telangana: An awareness session was organized by ‘She Teams’ at a shopping mall within the Vanasthalipuram police station limits to educate the public about the safety of women and girls, as well as cybercrimes. During the event, She Teams personnel raised awareness on several key issues. They explained the dangers associated with human trafficking and child marriage, and outlined precautions to prevent harassment against women and children. They specifically advised children to distinguish between ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’ and to report any suspicious incidents to their parents or trusted adults. They also warned the public to remain vigilant against cybercrimes, online fraud, and scams involving loan apps, advising them not to share personal details, bank account information, OTPs, or passwords with strangers. Information regarding the ‘T-Safe’ app—designed for women’s safety—was provided, encouraging people to utilize its services when needed. The importance of installing CCTV cameras and implementing security measures in shopping malls was also highlighted. She Teams personnel advised everyone to call the emergency number 112 immediately to seek police assistance during emergencies.
