Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: In a proactive move ahead of the Dindigul Assembly elections, the Flying Squad carried out intensive vehicle checks in the Chetti Nayakkanpatti area. The team, led by Inspection Officer Maruthamuthu along with Sub-Inspector Alexander and police personnel, detected liquor bottles hidden for illegal sale.
On noticing the officials, the suspect fled the spot. The team promptly seized 69 bottles of liquor and handed them over to Deputy Tahsildar Premkumar at the West Taluk Office. Further investigation is in progress.
This swift action highlights the Flying Squad’s commitment to ensuring free and fair elections while curbing illegal activities.
