Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu: Showcasing exceptional efficiency and commitment to maintaining law and order, the Thanjavur District Police achieved significant success in solving multiple criminal cases within a short span.
On April 8, 2026, police teams swiftly apprehended individuals involved in a series of mobile phone snatching incidents reported across Vallam, Papanasam, and City sub-divisions, successfully recovering the stolen devices. In another remarkable effort, the accused in the murder of an elderly woman in Palliyagraharam, under the East Police Station limits, was identified and arrested within just 24 hours on April 9, 2026.
Additionally, during night patrols, police personnel effectively intercepted and arrested individuals involved in thefts and attempted robbery within the jurisdictions of the East and Medical College Hospital Police Stations, seizing vehicles and stolen property.
In recognition of these commendable efforts, Superintendent of Police Mr. A. Sundaravadanam, IPS, honoured the involved officers and constables with appreciation certificates and rewards, applauding their dedication and swift action in ensuring public safety.
