Udupi, Karnataka: In a continued effort to strengthen community relations and address public concerns, Kundapur Police organized a monthly SC/ST grievance meeting at Kundapur Police Station on June 14, 2026.
As part of the community outreach initiative, leaders and representatives from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities, along with local villagers, were invited to participate in the meeting. The session provided a platform for community members to interact directly with police officials and voice their concerns, grievances, and suggestions.
During the meeting, police officers listened to the issues raised by the participants and assured them of appropriate action wherever required. Discussions focused on maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety and welfare of vulnerable communities, and promoting better cooperation between the police and the public.
The programme also served as an opportunity to create awareness about legal rights, police services, and mechanisms available for addressing complaints and grievances. Officials encouraged community members to approach the police without hesitation whenever they require assistance or wish to report any unlawful activities.
The meeting was attended by the Police Inspector (PI), Kundapur Police Station, PSI (Investigation Officer), Kundapur Police Station, and PSI, Kundapur Traffic Police Station, who actively participated in the interaction with community representatives.
Such regular grievance meetings play an important role in fostering trust, improving communication, and strengthening the partnership between the police and the community, thereby contributing to a safer and more inclusive society.
