Bengaluru, Karnataka: In a swift and efficient investigation, Tavarekere Police have successfully cracked a provision store theft case, arrested the accused, and recovered the stolen property along with the vehicle used in the crime.
The case was registered on June 13, 2026, after the complainant reported that unknown persons had broken the lock of a provision store located near the Magadi Road Ganesh Temple and stolen cash and cigarette packets.
Based on the complaint, Tavarekere Police registered a case under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and immediately launched an investigation. The police team gathered evidence, examined clues from the scene, and followed multiple leads to identify the offender.
Through sustained investigation, officers traced and arrested the accused involved in the theft. During the operation, police recovered the stolen cash, cigarette packets, and other stolen articles. They also seized the two-wheeler allegedly used by the accused to commit the offence.
The prompt detection of the case and recovery of the stolen property highlight the professionalism and dedication of the officers and staff of Tavarekere Police Station. Their timely action ensured that the accused was brought to justice and the stolen property was recovered.
Police have stated that further investigation is continuing to ascertain whether the accused was involved in any other similar offences in the area.
