Bengaluru, Karnataka: A joint operation by the Excise Department and Railway Protection Force personnel led to the seizure of suspected fake foreign liquor worth approximately ₹17.10 lakh at the Yeshwantpur Railway Parcel Yard in Bengaluru.
Acting on credible information, officials conducted a raid at Yeshwantpur Railway Station involving a goods train arriving from Delhi. During the operation, authorities seized 285 bottles of premium-brand single malt whisky, totaling around 231 litres, packed in 17 boxes.
Following the seizure, officials registered a case and launched a detailed investigation to identify and trace the persons involved in the illegal liquor transportation network. Authorities stated that efforts are underway to uncover the kingpin behind the racket.
