Kolar, Karnataka: As part of their ongoing community policing initiative, Urigam Police conducted extensive evening patrols on June 19, 2026, across key locations within the police station limits to enhance public safety and strengthen public confidence.
The patrol covered Marikuppam, Alikadai, 1 P.O. Block, the Railway Station area, and other important streets. During the operation, police personnel interacted with residents, listened to their grievances and complaints, and assured them of prompt action wherever required.
Officers encouraged members of the public to live without fear and urged them to report any suspicious activities or unlawful incidents immediately. The interaction also emphasized the importance of community cooperation in preventing crime and maintaining peace and order.
The confidence-building patrol aimed to increase police visibility, deter criminal activities, and foster stronger relationships between the police and the community. Residents appreciated the initiative and welcomed the police presence in their neighborhoods.
