Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: An awareness program regarding the safety of girl children and the prevention of sexual harassment was held at Devangar Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Chinnalapatti, Dindigul district. Chinnalapatti Police Inspector Subathra participated in the event and raised awareness among the students. She spoke about the importance of ensuring personal safety, recognizing instances of sexual harassment, protecting oneself from such situations, and the necessity of immediately reporting such incidents to parents, teachers, or the police. Furthermore, she advised the students to use social media safely and to avoid sharing personal information with strangers. The participating students had their queries clarified and gained valuable advice regarding safety. The awareness program was well-received by the students.
