Bengaluru, Karnataka: Bengaluru Excise Police have achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting a person allegedly involved in transporting and selling ganja brought from Assam to Bengaluru by train.
Acting on specific information, a team led by Excise DySP Abubakkar Mujawar conducted a raid on Okalipuram Road and arrested Hiralal Kanu, a native of Assam.
Police seized 6.255 kg of ganja valued at approximately ₹5.31 lakh from his possession. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.
The action demonstrates the Excise Police’s continued efforts to curb the illegal transportation and sale of narcotic substances and protect the community from drug-related activities.
