Bidhannagar City, West Bengal: Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate organised a sensitisation meeting at the East Zone Cultural Centre (EZCC) to promote strict compliance with Sarai Licence conditions and enhance safety standards in hotels and lodging establishments.
The meeting, chaired by Shri Rathod Amitkumar Bharat, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar, was attended by more than 300 hotel owners and representatives of various stakeholder departments.
The session focused on Sarai Licence compliance, fire and electrical safety, emergency preparedness and adherence to statutory requirements. Hotel owners and representatives were sensitised that violations of prescribed safety norms could invite appropriate action, including cancellation of the licence by the competent authority.
Representatives from the FRRO and Intelligence Bureau (IB) briefed participants on the mandatory submission of Form 3 for reporting foreign guests, statutory disclosures, reporting of suspicious activities, and issues concerning the consumption of narcotic substances by guests.
The programme was attended by the SDO, Bidhannagar, DCPs of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, and representatives from the Fire Department, FRRO, IB, BMC and other stakeholder departments.
The initiative highlights the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate’s commitment to strengthening regulatory compliance, improving emergency preparedness and ensuring the safety and security of guests and the wider community.
