Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: Due to the intensification of the Northeast monsoon in the Kodaikanal region of Dindigul district—which has resulted in damage to roads—police have been deployed to prevent tourist vehicles from traveling to Kodaikanal via Palani. Dindigul District Superintendent of Police, Jayakumar, conducted an inspection and instructed the police personnel on duty not to permit any vehicles to proceed toward Kodaikanal.
