A man was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping his 13-year-old daughter for two days in Meerut . The Police said that the victim’s mother filed a complaint in this regard with the local police station on Friday following which the man was arrested. Mr. Deepak Sharma, in-charge of the local police station said that the girl reported that her father had confined her to a room and threatened to kill her if she dared to tell anyone about the rape. The victim’s mother in her complaint stated that she had gone to a relative’s house to attend a function with her son on Thursday and her daughter was at home with her father. While coming back home the next day, her daughter complained of stomach ache, so she took her to a doctor who gave her medicines. On returning home from the doctor’s chamber, her daughter started weeping and told her how her father raped her in an intoxicated state. Mr. Deepak Sharma said that they have arrested the father under IPC sections 376 (rape), and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and have sent the girl for a medical examination.
